GEETMALA began as a half hour radio show in December, 1952. Seven outstanding film songs were randomly selected and featured
in a competition format, with a jackpot of Rs. 100/- each week.

Ameen Sayani, who presented "Geetemala" for all its 45 years on radio, has narrated the story of the programme's phenomenal

success in Volumes 21 to 25 take the story of "Geetmala" forward peppered with amusing anecdotes, heart-warming nostalgia and immortal songs- particularly the beautiful numbers that trailed somewhat behind the chart-toppers.

hallo sir, thank you verry much for your work of "geetmala ki chhao me" .you have uploded all five sets for us. it is a gift from god to us. you have revived the old days for all of us. i recently seen on saregama website that set no. 6 of "geetmala ki chhao me'" is released on 8th august. so we are egerly waiting from you to upload it sooner. thanks in advance.
