Heart Healthy Drink Recipe: Cucumber Blast

Healthy Drink Recipe: Cucumber Blast

Blast through the summer heat with this cucumber and pear drink that is flavoured with basil and cumin. Extremely healthy and easy to make, it is loaded with nutrition and fibre and is a great way to keep dehydration at bay.



Preparation time: 5 minutes
Makes 1 serving



Ingredients
• 1 cup chopped cucumber
• 1 cup chopped pear
• ½ cup tulsi/basil leaves
• 2 tsp lime juice
• 3 tsp sugar
• Black salt to taste
• ½ tsp cumin powder
• Crushed ice as required

Method
• Peel and deseed a cucumber. Cut it into cubes.
• Cut the pear into cubes.
• Put the fruits into the blender. Add the basil leaves, salt, roasted cumin seed powder, lime juice and crushed ice.
• Pour the juice into a glass and serve.
