Supriya Pathak has been roped in for Alakshmi



Supriya Pathak, the name is enough to recollect how bigger the personality she is! Undoubtedly, she is a wonderful person and an amazing actress. Over the years, she has played some of the finest characters on the tube and on the celluloid one can recall her roles in Mirch Masala, Kalyug, Masoom, et al.

No one can forget her hilarious histrionics as Hansa in the show Khichdi, and now, the lovely lady is all set to portray yet another interesting role in Hats Off Productions’ upcoming show on Life OK, tentatively titled, Alakshmi.

The production house has already roped in some popular names like Raman Kumar, Falguni Desai and Helly Shah. Supriya will be seen playing the character of Shanti. She will be the grand mother-in-law of the female lead, Lakshmi (Helly Shah).

Buzz says that, Alakhsmi is a remake of a Bengali hit series Romonir Gune (Star Jalsa). The shooting for the show has already begun and it will hit the airwaves post IPL. Sources talked to Supriya and she said, “I am doing a project with Hat’s Off but I can’t divulge much at this point of time.”
