Chevrolet Beat Electric @ Auto Expo 2012
The Chevrolet Beat Electric! Power comes from a 300 cell lithium-ion battery with approximately 16 kWh of energy capacity. The 270 kilogram battery can power the Beat EV for ~100 kilometers. The battery is liquid-cooled, and can be charged in 4 hours:
Guess what this is? Nope, it's not a car. Rather, it's a Beat-shaped balloon.
Stuffed to the gills with helium, and supported by fans on each side (look at the last picture),
this Beat can actually remain suspended in the air.
Would have been a great marketing exercise if
Chevy had let it float in their pavilion:
