A folk narrative set in the sand dunes of Rajasthan; Kesariya Balam Aavo Hamare Des is the story of human emotions put in a unique way. It's Rukmini's struggle through life and its various situations.



Rukmini, the eldest of the three siblings, is born in a poor Rajput family from Rajod. She has a younger sister Rasal and a brother Gheesu. The girls are the breadwinners of the household. Rukmini crafts Krishna idols out of clay while Rasal is an official letter writer of the village. An unfortunate incident in their childhood leaves Rukmini's life scarred forever.



Meanwhile, the second part of the plot is set in Bhanwar Singh's house, whose family is known for its true blue Rajput nature, full of attitude and life. His family is known for its legacy and its stature created by the ancestors over many, many years. Bhanwar Singh's nephew, Ranveer, arrives in the village. He's a boy who's spent most of his life studying in Delhi. He's an artist by calling, romantic at heart and gets attracted to Rukmini.

'Ganesh Leela' is a special feature on Lord Ganesha's life from his birth. Legend has it that Lord Shiva's wife Parvati's craves for a child, Shiva suggests her to do a year long 'Punyak Vrat'. Parvati starts her penance with the help of a purohita called 'Sanatkumar'. After the successful completion of her Vrata-anushthan, God Paratpar (a form of divine light) appears and gives her a boon that he himself will appear on earth as her son. Later Parvati, creates a beautiful boy from the 'ubtan' (a form of cosmic energy) of her body, treats him as her son, and gives him the responsibility of guarding her home. Its astonishing to know later how this boy gets in to an fight with Lord Shiva and subsequently ends up with an elephant head fitted to his body. Ganga Ki Dheej is one such story that deals with the ordeals of young unmarried girls in a village called Kaliganj based in rural West Bengal. It highlights the growing up of the girls within the restrictions of the various rituals and customs laid down by the self-proclaimed lords of the land. Kaliganj is ruled and is under the supreme power of one such landlord Dadabhai (Kabir Bedi) who is like god to the villagers as most of them work under his command.
