Jennifer Winget tipped to play the lead in Star Plus Next



We were the first to break the news of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's ambitious project on Star Plus being revived. We have already mentioned that the show is all set to hit the floors from March this year and some of the names who have been signed are Chetan Pandit, Monica Bedi, Ragini Shah and Yatin Karyekar.

For information, the show is about a middle class Gujarati family and their two daughters. However, due to some unavoidable circumstances the family will split and few members will stay in India and others will settle down abroad. The shooting will take place in Gujarat.

Now, the latest dope that we have received is that Jennifer Winget –of Dill Mill Gayye fame – is all set to play the female lead in the yet to be titled soap.

"Jennifer will be a part of the family that will be settled abroad. She has already shot for the pilot," a source added.

Furthermore, a newcomer named Shiney has also been signed to play one of the parallel leads.

We tried contacting Jennifer but she remained unavailable.
